Daisy, the doll that came to life!

Here is the wonderful 18-inch
version of DAISY, the beautiful
doll that was made for
subscribers of the Ladies Home Journal in the early 1940s.

The version of Daisy that I replicate is the 18-inch Kestner 171 mold that I've acquired from Collectible Doll Company. She's gorgeous! She is assembled on an authentic ball-jointed German style composition body, and is fully posable, even with articulated wrists. Daisy is typically a blonde, and mohair is very lovely choice is you want your doll to be as authentic as the old dolls, but other pretty wigs in human hair or fine synthetics are also suitable for her, especially if you'll be dressing her in the many outfits available.

Daisy can have beautiful stationary glass paperweight eyes, or Sleep Eyes. She has real upper lashes, painted lower, open mouth, four upper porcelain teeth, tongue and the finely painted brows of the ancestor doll.
